A Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation branch in the Fort Collins, Colorado-area partnered with the American Warrior Initiative (AWI) to honor two local veterans and a local veterans organization.
The first veteran recognized at the event was a 90-year-old Korean War vet who had just celebrated a birthday the day before. He was presented with a cake that was later auctioned for $500 in his honor. Additionally, this special veteran received dozens of birthday cards signed by the attendees. The next honoree was a deserving U.S. Army veteran who was awarded a family grant of $7,000. Lastly, Fairway and AWI presented a $25,000 grant to Stillwater Ranch — an amazing place that provides hope and healing for veterans through horses.
Co-founded by Louise Thaxton and Sean Parnell, the American Warrior Initiative is a non-profit organization sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage. AWI seeks to ease U.S. veterans’ transition from military to civilian life.
I am proud to work for a company that does so much to honor those who sacrifice for our country. If I can help answer any questions about VA loans or any other home loan options, please give me a call.Tags: Veterans
